The company was founded in 1925, the year in which Armand Desaegher and Octave Aubecq, two Belgian industrialists - one expert in fusion, the other in enamelling - decided to combine their skills, during a meeting at the Brussels Fair. Their main goal was to bring liveliness to cast iron dishes using color, together with the intention of vitrifying the material. The first prototype was that of a vitrified cast iron cocotte, which was then perfected and remained iconic in every collection produced by the brand. A few years later, with the opening of a large foundry in Fresnoy-le-Grand, the production expands to become the brand now known all over the world, unique for its pots, pans, casseroles and colored cast iron dishes.
