Founded in Giussano (MB) in 1934 by Angelo Molteni, a businessman from Brianza who was one of the promoters of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile. Originally established as a systems company, it now offers a complete range of high-end home products, distributed through stores worldwide, as well as large-scale contract projects.
The brand has always been characterized by high-quality products with both aesthetic and technological excellence, designed to last over time with low waste production.
Design, research, and new production techniques have always been at the forefront of the brand, to the point of furnishing museums, hotels, restaurants, and cruise ships with pieces designed by Patricia Urquiola, Rodolfo Dordoni, Jean Nouvel, and Hannes Wettstein. In 1994 and 2020, the brand received the Compasso d'Oro career award promoted by ADI (Association for Industrial Design). Since 2012, in collaboration with the Gio Ponti Archives and with the artistic direction of Studio Cerri & Associati, Molteni&C has exclusively reissued some of the master's historical pieces for private homes, special projects, or small series, while fully respecting the original designs.
