Geacolor is a vase designed by Gae Aulenti for Venini. Once the desired shape has been obtained, colours are applied hot to the surface of the object using a freehand style. The process is repeated for each colour, and only at the end is the block of glass reheated for the lat time to amalgamate all the colours. The technique of overlaying colours creates irregular, formless protrusions that make each vase quite unique.
