Vitra EM Table: The designer and engineer Jean Prouvé developed the EM Table around for the project ‚Maison Tropicale‘. The canted legs are connected by a crossbar, illustrating the structural forces and fl ow of stresses in a way that is typically seen only in engineering structures. The EM Table is available with table tops in solid wood or robust HPL laminate. The solid wood table tops in oak or walnut lend the EM Table an aura of elegance and bring pleasure with their appealing tactile qualities. The base of the EM Table version with a high-pressure laminate top is available in the same colours and powder-coated textured fi nish as the base of the StandardSP chair – making an ideal chairand- table combination.
