Kubedesign shall present a collection of cabinets which alludes both to postmodernist art and to the Vintage trend. XXL is a really “extra-large” product line in changing the proportions which collective care, but also in the ambitious aim to make us feel these additions, by sight, by touch, but especially with the intellect. We are seeing a very well calibrated change in perspective, in which Kubedesign and Roberto Giacomucci suggest that we should observe the world from another point of view.
In design matter, what would happen, if we take an object “known” by the strong vintage appeal, vaguely playful, and with a Postmodern operation we change the size? The change of scale would return an object with an amplified personality, that the game of memory and the patina of age, would tend to immediately transform into a modern icon. Modern icons strongly green, laminated cardboard furniture whit a considerable symbolic reminder.
